Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Academic Medicine
(Free, Online) April 30, 3:00pm - 4:00pm EST
Join the Association of American Medical Colleges as they discuss how AI is transforming medical education, with applications as an active tool within the classroom, as well as for curriculum development, assessment, study tools, communication skills development and much more. During this session, panelists will explore emerging applications of AI that impact the classroom, including the development and delivery of curriculum and the assessment of learning. Examples will be shared from varying perspectives and institutions, including content creation, study tools, communication development, and use of AI for methodologies such as case-based learning and simulation. Theyโll also examine the possibility of AI-driven assessment technologies, shedding light on practical uses and where they have potential in the comprehensive evaluation of both students and components of educational programs.

National Academy of Medicine Post AI Code of Conduct Discussion Draft
The National Academy of Medicine (NAM) have been working towards an AI Code of Conduct since last year. They recently posted a commentary with initial concepts and content that their Steering Committee feel may be important to a draft Code of Conduct framework for use in the development and application of artificial intelligence (AI) in health, health care, and biomedical science.

Tech Giants Form Consortium for AI Job Losses
Some of the largest tech companies have formed the AI-Enabled Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Workforce Consortium to help those who have lost or will lose their jobs to AI. They intend to upskill or reskill 95 million over the next 10 years and provide organizations knowledge about the impact of AI on the workforce.
